You Can Experience a Real CSI Investigation Near Huddersfield
If you’re a true crime, this one’s for you. This experience lets you step into the role of a crime scene investigator for a half-day; here’s exactly what the experience involves.
Where is the experience?
Think Forensic is an immersive CSI experience based just outside Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. It’s built around genuine investigative skills (fingerprinting, footprint casting, and evidence collection) taught by an expert in the field before you put the skills into practice yourself.
What to expect
The half-day experience we chose started in the classroom, learning the fundamentals of investigation from an expert.
From there, it was time to get into character. You’ll head to the immersive street set, working on your own crime scene to examine.
Once you’ve gathered your evidence, you’ll form your own theory about what happened, then head back to the classroom to debrief with the other groups and find out whether your theory was right.
Think Forensic also runs In the Firing Line and Digging Deeper into Forensics as separate half-day options, if you want to build a fuller day around different forensic disciplines.
Tip: use your walkie-talkie to request tests like blood analysis from the experts mid-investigation
